Regarding the contest and being a newbie to high level
3D programming, I have but one question:
How does one create a scene for ones demo?
I mean, it is fairly easy to program RRedline or
OpenGL to show a triangle exactly as I want it to,
but it is a huge work to do the programming of a
whole scene this way - manually creating each vertice.
Is there any FREE modelling tool that produces
triangles/vertices for a scene in a known file format
that I hopefully (I am not very artistic) could use?
It is unfortunate that the deadline is coming up
so fast.
By the way if one would win the grand prize, does
it include to take ones fiance on the trip also?
And Chris, can Rendition use the Big RRed wrapper
as a teaching material for gamedevelopers on how
to add RRedline support to games that is developed
for 3Dfx Glide? If it is possible, I think it would
be great because I as a consumer would see more games
with support for my Thriller 3D but I guess there could
be some legal issues to sort out first.
